Our Voice! What our service users have to Say

Here's what the people have to say...

"I look forward to the Thursday mornings and also the phone call I get each Monday morning asking whether I will attend and need a lift. I like the company and a nice atmosphere builds up. I also like the trips particularly the trip to Oswaldtwistle Mills and the Bourne Poacher at Christmas."

John, Service user

"Chorlton Good Neighbours means everything to me and to other. This is especially so when house bound. I look forward to the coffee morning and exercise class every week and it is not until you can't walk that you realise support is needed. The same is so for Sunday teas; being sociable is nice and the food and entertainment is a highlight. It's very nice for people without family and the company you get is very special."

Blanche, Service user

"It's wonderful! To meet people and have a good talk - people with their own troubles and you can talk them through. I look forward to it every week and also the Sunday teas. Also the care given and the lifts - it's absolutely wonderful. I look forward to it - I really do."

Sheelagh, service user

"We really enjoy coming to Good Neighbours so that we can meet up with our friends get goog company. We all look forward to the Coffee mornings, Spring and Christmas parties and the outings. There is no need for people to be lonely because there is plenty that you can join in with. You are never too old to enjoy yourself!"
